No, but you gain extra weight a short time ago before a growth spurt I surmise it varies near the girl in put somebody through the mill, and the family history of how high women have be.
Personally, I didn't grow at all back my first period, but a couple of my friends did. I estimate it depends on when you start as well. I started at 10, and most of my other friends started abundantly later than that.
