A Kegel exercise, name after Dr. Arnold Kegel, is an exercise designed to strengthen the pubococcygeus muscles. The exercises consist of the regular clenching and unclenching of the muscles which form slice of the pelvic floor (sometimes call the "Kegel muscles").
