It seems like women nowadays are actually averaging 5'9'' 5'10. What happened to the shorter girls?

I'm sure they are still around, but I HONESTLY believe that girls and women surrounded by the United States are averaging 5'9 or taller at present. BTW I'm 5'8'', so I use this as my measure stick. In a shopping arcade, I'm at so copious girls or women's neck or chests, it's ridiculous.
