the endometrial biopsy tells the physician information roughly the inside of your uterus. they take a small token of the tissue inside and can look at it under the microscope for exceptional cells, check your hormone level and make sure they are affecting the uterine linning correctly and are in match.
the biopsy will give detailed picture of how healthy/appropriate bulk, etc, your endometrium is. a sonogram couldn't give actual information as descriptive as sample
