Pregnant?!?!?
I have be on the same pill since October 2006. My boyfriend and I *always* use condoms as well as to the pills just to generate sure we are covered. The last times I have sex were on March 31 and April 21 and we practiced undisruptive sex ( condom - no problems). I never had any problems near my pills until May, when I started breakthrough bleeding on the third to last live pill of my pack. I took 36,000 mg of Amoxcillin a few days after March 31, so I don't think I could hold gotten pregnant then. However, I took more Amoxicillin and a prescribed cough syrup for a time or two before I have sex on April 21. Again with condom, and I be still doing well taking my birth control pills. However, I started bleeding on May 2 since the end of my pack (started still May 6). Also, I was surrounded by a dorm and was living alone until May 20 and stressed. Last pack middle-of-the-road, this pack started breathrough same as may time! pattern!? no sex since april, 6 neg test,fine gyn exam in june, paranoid or pregnant? ty
Answers:
perscription drugs can effect birth control pills, but the irregular bleeding is most likely cause by the stress.
When i get extremely stressed out, i can start precipitate, late, or bleed for 3 weeks straight.
The antibiotics also you be taking can effect period cycles. If your pregnancy test were denial, you are most likely only just irregular. But to keep yourself from getting more stressed, turn to the doc and have a BLOOD pregnancy trial. THey are rarely incorrect.
