Anyone taking or has taken Cymbalta? Question more or less sexual side effects.?

It seems similar to I have have trouble reaching orgasm since starting taking Cymbalta several weeks ago. Actually, it is almost like I am numb or take me forever to become aroused and you can forget actually climaxing. Let me give that this was definitly not a problem for us past. This is very frustrating for me even though my fiancee have been wonderful and tried to help out me work through, but I am getting sick of it. This is the only bright medicine I hold started taking so that is why I am suspecting it is the motive of the problem. Any advice is terrifically appreciated. Thanks!

I have be on it for a year, and am fixing to change meds because I can`t stand Cymbalta. I have NO sex drive. the tought of sex never even enter my mind. I have tried other antidepressents and found that wellbutrin have the least sexual side effects. My mom be on cymbalta and had alot of problems next to climax also, she is now on prozac and passion better.

Talk to your doctor and see if you can try something else.

Wellbutrin is definitely the process to go if you want to avoid the unwanted sexual side effects. Wellbutrin doesn't affect the re-uptake of seretonin, which is responsible for the loss of orgasm. I found it as potent an antidepressant as Cymbalta, but unsurprisingly everyone is different. I wouldn't take it if you enjoy any anxiety problems, as it tends to exaggerate them. Good luck!
