How do I travel on the pill?

I'm 18 yrs old and would similar to to go on the pill but I'm embarresed.I havn't be to a doctor in yrs and i dunno where on earth is the best place to go and do i own to ring up beforehand i mean what is the best channel to ask for it and which type of pill, the cost etc and i do not want my parents to know please help as would enormously much appreciate your help.

If you do not have an ob/gyn, you can step to your local health department. They will do a pap smear oral exam and probably a pregnancy test since prescribing a birth control pill. Unfortunately, selecting a birthcontrol pill is hit and miss. Each woman is different and it may give somebody a lift trying a couple of different types before finding the right pill.
