Swimmer's ear or the instigation of an infection?

Ok, so yesterday i went swimming and i get water within my ear, throughout the day it get worse and worse to the point where i cant even hear out of my moved out ear AT ALL. Ive tried the swimmer's ear drops and that didnt help. I own a bit of ear pain but not some bleak that i cant stand it. The inside of my ear itches a bit and it feels severely full. So is this just swimmer's ear where on earth it will evantually come out or do you think this is the formation of an ear infection due to the water not coming out? Also, what can i do for it untill i can find to a doctor or ER? I have a son so its not exactly only pick up and go i enjoy to find a sitter.

If you verbs on your earlobe and it hurts, or if you pull on the top of your ear and it hurts, that process you have an inner ear infection.
If your ear itches, be sure not to chisel it, you never want to do that. Also, don't put any cotten swabs or such into your ear in attempts to clean it out, that's fruitless.
No need for the ER, but you may want to walk see a doctor, or, even better, and ear nose and throat specialist, seeing as they tend to know more since it is their specialty. Since you own to find a sitter first, unless the pain is unacceptable, you should be fine putting it off for a moment longer, just be sure not to dawdle to long, these things just tend to receive worse.

Help..?

take you son with you and step to the doctor. do not go to the er unless you want a huge bill purely for swimmers ear. if you have ear drops put those along beside cotton balls contained by your ears and that should relieve the pain untill u can see a doctor
