Breast Sonogram after mammograms results?

I had a mammogram end Tuesday, today they called me from the place the mammogram be done and told me I need a sonogram as here were 2 small stains in the mammogram's result, I am 43 and hold always have painful small lumps contained by the side of the left breast but I be todl it was fibrocyst, in a minute I am a little upset, is it usual that they want to perform a sonogram after a mammogram?, anybody have been within the same situation as me, thanks

I had exact same item. There was a small lump. It be removed in daytime surgery and I am happy to right to be heard I am in the 80% that be non-cancerous. Don't worry yours is feasible the same. I have Fibrocystic Breast Disease all my duration. After menopause it is much better.

A mammogram will simply show abnormal tissue. A sonogram will show more detail, such as whether it is a fluid-filled cyst or if it is a solid mass beside a blood supply (which is BAD). In other words, it really isn't all that unusual that they would want to evaluate a spot on your mammogram with a sonogram.
