I am 47 and believe I am experiencing menopause symptoms.?

I visited knowmenopause.com and read that menopause can beging as untimely as 45. I have a history of fibroids and my period recently go from extremely heavy bleeding to only just bleeding at all. I am also experiencing extreme vaginal itching. I did see my gyn later Thursday for bleeding during sex. She did not say in that was an infection or anything but the itching is almost unacceptable. I have be swabbing the area near alcohol just to relieve the itching(really it does work. It stings! but it does work!)
The knowmenopause.com site does state that vaginal itching and irritation are symptoms.
Is anyone else experiencing these symptoms? What did you do to relieve them: dark sweats, vaginal itching, bleeding during sex.

Is this normal?

Hormone Replacement Therapy can relieve the symptoms of menopause.

But nearby is some risk to H.R.T.
You will need to settle to your doctor again. ( I know it sucks! ) But you should not take any likelihood with your body.

* This time ask more question to the Doc.
If he or she won't answer your questions, later it is time to get a tentative doctor. =*

Good luck!
