Has anyone else cried during their first pap smear?
Just thinking about this horrible point makes me cry. I know it's unripe of me, but I hate the thought of some stranger poking around my nether-reigions and groping my breasts. I know what they're trying to do, but I REALLY hate the belief. I would rather gain some kind of disease and die than tolerate this happen. I lately want to know if anyone else felt like way, and how did they procure through their first time after feeling approaching this?

My God! I read your other Q & I gotta let somebody know you if you are scaring yourself silly next maybe you shouldn't be on BC! During a pelvic exam the Dr (it can be a woman Dr.) checks out the size placement of your uterus. There's no perverted fingering going on. Then the Dr will transport a small scraping (sample) the the cervix & dispatch it out for testing! It's over surrounded by 30 seconds. If you are this worried very soon.DONT get pregnant because theres alot more probing when you are giving birth!
BTW A Dr should do a breast exam past a pelvic...If they go right below & skip the breast I'd quiz it!
no... its apart of life span. usually you start having paps after your first time..so whats the difference. sex is much more brutal than the dr.

I was 16 when I have my first pap and I was really restless and scared too. Fortunately I have a female nurse practitioner who be very serene and nice and told me everything that she was going to do beforehand she did it. I thought pap smears involved the doctor inserting an instrument into the "nether" regions to gain a cell sample. Why on mud would a doctor need to touch your breasts for a pap smear? The point of a pap smear is to detect hasty signs of cervical cancer.I know the whole process is awkward, but it's important. Get a female doctor if you're really humiliated. Remember, they're professionals and won't do anymore touching than necessary. Good luck and don't verbs!
It's a huge invasion on your body and personal self. It is typical to feel overwhelmed and demonstrate tears. I stir up you to realize that a doctor is only looking in a professional sense. There is no sexual encourter occuring. If you find it thoroughly uncomfortable, conisder seeing a womanly doctor as this may make the situation easier.

I remember my first pap.. i was 18 and shy as hell. I couldn't find a female doctor available so i saw my mothers gyn.. he saw merely how nervous i be and the first thing he said to me be he would bring in the female nurse simply to help me. He talk me all through the procedure and be very caring.A pap doesn't involve groping your breasts (again i would like to know where on earth you are getting this information) besides i bet if you are there dying from a disease that could enjoy been prevented by a pap you will be discussion different. And if you do get something close to cervical cancer then more and more inhabitants will have to look.. so sermon to your doctor about your fears..try and find a feminine gyn and remember that for a small amount of discomfort provides lots peice of mind.. trust me
