Severe PMS?

I am what a friend of mine calls a "time monster". For the first two weeks of my cycle, I'm totally fine. I don't get mood swings, my moods aren't extreme, and I'm collectively content. During the week before and the week of my interval, I become unable to control my emotion. I'll be skipping happy, afterwards hysterically sad, next unbelievably angry. I also feel the physiological effects of my emotion; i.e. I physically feel buoyant and bedside light when I'm happy, I have a feeling physically crushed when I'm sad, and I can almost be aware of my blood vessels constrict when I'm angry. Plus, my mood change at the drop of a hat. This issue is affecting my relationship and my chore. I am making an appointment with my OB-GYN, but I want to know if in that is anything I can do to counteract my symptoms until then. I'm contained by my "monster" phase right now. Help!!
