Sentences close to "I am having my period" is adjectives to us. So is the word menstrual! U can use it like dis "I only started menstruating yesterday." It holds the same purpose like the 1st sentence!
MENSTRUATION CYCLE though holds a different characterization. It means the full provess of 28 days after your first period/menstruation.
