Thyroid and periods?

I am hypothyroid (did radiation treatment due to Graves). I was taking Levothyroxin for for a while over a year with no problems. Now for almost former times year my periods enjoy been bad (I've only gotten a spell every 3-4 months). I went to the doc (almost 2 months ago) and they readjusted my level...however still no period. How long does it lift to be normal again? Anyone else gone that long lacking periods? PS Not pregnant and not have sex...so that's not an option.

how would men should treat women when they are have their period?

Are you a short time ago going by what the doctor tells you or are you keeping track of your thyroid level? I find you get better effort if you know more about hypothyroidism. When you check your thyroid, make sure its other a morning test. Also, you want the morning TSH to be below 2.0 close to 1.0.

If your TSH has be around 1.0 for a while, there are a few other things it could be. Your progesterone level could be low. An USP grade progesterone cream close to progestacare could help. I know lots women that are hypothyroid who only have 3 or 4 periods a year. Once on the cream, they are in a minute having regular period.

Another option may be that you aren't converting the T4 you are taking. To findthis out, you obligation to have a free t4 and a free t3. The numbers should be at smallest midrange.
