A couple years ago, I went to the gyne and he told me I have polycystic ovaries?

I was missing my period all of the time. I have gained a intact bunch of weight. I be an -ovulatory cycling where I would start bleeding and never stop for days on call a halt until I got some progesterone to bring back me to bleed then stop.
They did an ultrasound and told me I have a very gelatinous endometrium, and did a biopsy and told me my endometrium was hyer-proliferative.
Now for the end 2 years, my periods come resembling clock work. I never miss one. I am 42 yrs old and conceivably worried about becoming pregnant. Does polycystic ovaries in recent times quit being polycystic? They did an ultrasound and told me they did not see any cyst on my ovaries. I am sexually moving and have unfamiliar birth control for about the concluding 10 yrs because I thought there be no chance of conception. Now I am thinking I don`t know I should get on birth control.
What do you presume?
