you can have seafood, a short time ago be cautious beside fish. There are some fish that carry large amounts of mercury and it isn't safe for the child. Ask your doctor what types of fish to avoid.

Normally, it is no "raw" seafood or fish. It can carry diseases that are damaging to the baby. Cooked seafood or fish is usually OK, unless you hold an allergy. Double check with your Dr.

I did not know that. I ate alot of crab when I pregnant next to my second child.maybe you should consult a doctor befor you drink any seafood.

I don't know if ALL seafood is contraindicated during pregnancy, but there are several kind of seafood that should be avoided or limited during pregnancy.
Raw oysters can convey all kind of nasty bugs - but Hepatitis B and some intestinal pathogens (disease-causing bacteria) as in good health. Tuna and farmed salmon hold levels of mercury surrounded by them from industrial pollution that can be toxic to both mother and developing fetus. Some smoked/raw fish can also carry intestinal lice - diphyllobothrium latum (wow! that's a mouthful!) is one of them that is more adjectives.

Most tuna especially solid white contains high level of mercury. California is the only state surrounded by the nation that informs people at the supermarket. Shrimp, salmon and lobster contain almost no mercury. It solely takes a small amount to hurt tthe newborn.

Because seafood and fish can contain high mercury level. Mercury cannot be metabolized in the human body and is toxic. Even a moment or two bit in the body can own an effect on a growing fetus such as brain damage. That approach its just best to stay away from it while pregnant and really hold in as little as possible when you arent pregnant.

Take the nutrition class offered at the hospital, regularly insurance pays for it- ask your doctor. WHY not! It was amazing for us.

Lead is in Paint- not seafood.

Its the mercury content. The seafood industry is not regulated- did you know that ? Tuna is to be avoided in sizeable quantity.

I live on the gulf coast and ate seafood (shrimp, smallholding catfish and crayfish or tilapia- fish) once a week and didn't worry nearly it. Farm raised is improved.

(Based on my blood tests) I had to reduce suger/salt and caffeine. I really shopped for great food- it cost more like natural foods (meats steroid-free) I ate a very in proportion meals 5-8 times a sunshine, approx 4-8 tablespoons to one-cup of food each time. {yeah- that's almost every hour} I cooked/prepared 80% of my food and over 50% of my diet be Raw food or Liquid protien.


Snacks- Apples w/ peanut butter, oranges w/ raw almonds, Apple/grapes near pecans, sometimes yogurt. (5 grapes or 3 apples slices with 5/6 pecans near 2 or 3 tablespoons of yogurt). (sugar/fruit and protein/dairy).

Breakfast-1/2 piece of toast with almond butter, 1 egg white next to spinach, chives and garlic for breakfast.and small cup half/caf coffee with soy creamer.

My favorites be Avocado with a teaspoon of maple syrup next to soymilk and made a yummy dip for fruit or veggie chips. Devoured Greek food-Hummus and tabouli was a great backing, the parsley is a natural digestive aid. (gas relief) I know that's odd, but hey I was preggers.

I can honestly notify you that- planning is the most important division. Take the time to prechop and get snack lots and sort it with a sharpie sign by day/am & pm. I had adjectives my snacks ready two days previously. the apples browned a bit, but oh well.

Great hydration, save ME. I had a gallon bottle of dampen by the bed, living room chair and kitchen counter- so I could restock anywhere. I kept 6-8oz bottles or more in the frig and one partly full in the freezer and used it for those swollen foot to roll over.

It changed my life, it be a dedication to watch my food intake during preg. I lost 47# of flabby and had a divine (9 # 2oz baby boy)- it be amazing, I never needed maternity clothes, I lost so much podgy, I just wore my own.

I did thieve prenatal vituamin (perscribed ones) a calcuim, iron and potasutum suppliments and a stool softener daily. All underneath doctors orders.

Treat yourself- fyi- 5 tablespoons of rime cream with 1/2 cup of organic nuts (pick-walnut/almonds/pecans) will counter weight the suger/fat ratio. Its a carb/protien at that point. SO I have that every night. Yummy. Baby loved it too. Cool huh!
