Can menstrual cycles supress the immune system?

I've noticed that for almost the finishing year, I always take really sick (flu, colds, anxiety, even tonsilitis) about a week up to that time my period. I also almost other have spotting between period. Do you think in attendance's a link between hormones and your immune system? I wonder if one on the pill would help.?

There is no data to suggest that the menstrual cycle suppresses the immune system, within general, although indisputable people may experience more than coincidental viral illnesses during this time. Most individuals don't feel capably during the menstrual cycle because of the drop in hormones. This, along with the instability of the thermoregulatory center, cause hot and cold flushes, may make undisputed women feel they are other 'sick' during their cycle. This would not explain true tonsillitis!

Being on the pill would improve these symptoms, as it will pass more predictable hormone levels, and for a shorter duration of hormone deduction.

i have hear that just up to that time you get your period your immune system is down a little bit. if i be you i would try going on the pill, i don't know if it will stop you from being sick, but it should stop the spotting between period. if it continues you really should see a gyno
