ok, i am 40. and for the past year i have be "loosing it" i am soooo moody, quick to anger, always anxious, i of late am not myself. i am waiting for my head to spin around one day. is this ordinary to go through changes. does your hormones at 40 start to renovation, your moods ect.. i am on birth control to help with my time changes, and antidepressant but sometimes i feel "not myself at all" does anyone know any accurate books or cd's on changes in women and what to expect as you age. thank you enjoy a great day.

Answers:    It sounds like menopause to me, or at the immensely least perimenopause.
A simple blood test will notify you. But you are describing me when I started going through it at the early age of 36. I was stunned when the doctor told me and be in denial for awhile but then I have to get help because I be losing all my friends and my family didn't want to be around me. I be so moody and irritable all the time. I also took anti-depressants. There are many books at the public library which help me alot. I'm sorry I don't remember the exact names but ask someone there to comfort you. And please check with a doctor because your hormones could be on a rollercoaster. Good luck..
