That much pain isn't everyday; she needs to get checked out. It could be fairly benign, or it could be really serious.

There are lots things that can cause dysmenorrhea, ranging from the type of contraceptive (Copper T IUD) to endometriosis, fibroid tumors, ovarian cysts, and ruptured ectopic pregnancies.

She's going to spend roughly one-quarter of her childbearing years having her time of year. If it's going to debilitate her, something needs to be done.
Painful period (or dysmenorrhea) are common, particularly in younger women, but if she's contained by severe pain it's worth trying to convince her to see a doctor. In some cases the pain can indicate a problem such as endometriosis or fibroid tumors for which she'll need medical attention. Either agency, the doctor will be able to give her good suggestion on how to treat the pain.

In the meantime, have her get regular exercise, put away a balanced diet low in fat, and avoid caffeine (no coffee, tea, sports drinks or soda). When she have cramps have her use a heating pad or help yourself to a warm bath.
Well, have you tried a Witch Doctor? They do house calls.
Lol!
TAKE HER! Even if you have to drag her in that..and Im not trying to be mean. Explain to her that you are trying to help her and that she shouldnt feel mortified about it especially if your her fiance. If she still wont let you take her..possibly a female friend or her mom could take her. She just wishes to get to the ob/gyn asap! Good luck to you both.
she needs to have a pap smear done. then she should receive on birth control. its helps alot with periods. I use to be freshly like her
go next to her to the gyno even though it could be embarrasing it could be serious
She has severe menstrual cramping called Dysmenorrhea or she should probably be seen to rule out Endometriosis.

She may stipulation to take both Advil and Robacet (3 different drug families)...Ibuprofen, Acetominophen, and Methocarbamol. Robaxacet comes with Codeine if prescribed by a doctor in the USA or ask the pharmacist for it trailing the counter in Canada.

I suffer from this and have passed out numerous times from the pain, cold sweats, etc. It's a short time ago the nastiest feelings and a very helpless feeling for you to experience.

Bedtime can be a blessing or a curse depending on how your body responds to lying down near menstrual cramps. She should try and take 2 Ibuprofen (Advil/Motrin) and 2 Robaxacet (Acetominophen Methocarbomal), a auto shut off heating wad and then hugging a pillow or big stuff animal against her tummy in the fetal position. This tends to relieve rear pain associated with that time of the month, as well as, the cramps themselves.

A body pillow have been most beneficial because my pain wraps around my pelvic girdle and make me surface like I'm being pulled apart in. I can wrap my legs and arms around the pillow and support everything. Not everyone like a bodypillow (long pillow).

It's really important to read each box to see which one covers the majority of your symptoms of discomfort. I find these work the best for multi-symptoms, but everybody is different and will own their own preferred type. You will notice in the medicinal ingredients varying from Ibuprofen, Acetaminophen, Acetacylic Acid & Methocarbomal (Muscle Relaxant).

Ibuprofen is an non-steroidal anti-inflammatory & pain hired gun that is widely used for cramps & backache. It comes in a variety of brand name: Advil, Celebrex, Generic Ibuprofen, & Motrin.

Acetacylic Acid is one of the oldest painkiller used for backaches, headache and cramps. It comes in a variety of brand names: Aspirin, Bufferin, Ecotrin, Halfprin, Robaxacil

It is decisive that you learn the 'Chemical Names' for these medications, so that you do not exceed the recommended daily dosages within error by taking one of each brand in the same medicinal ethnic group at the same time. It is okay to combine or mix up the pills as long as you stick to the recommended 'daily' dosage for each medicinal family.

It is also meaningful that you take it this medication with food because they are all drastically hard on your tummy. If you just can't eat anything, later take this with a full glass of milk. Always drink a full chalice of fluids when taking medications to help your stomach acid dissolve and occupy the medication quickly into your system.

I hope this helps. I hope she will see her doctor for additional give support to, but they usually want you to go on a specific type of birth control. Not everyone can take birth control (Smokers risk death by clots). Source(s): http://ziggiesyahooanswers.blogspot.com
