Are you supposed to shave above the knees?

O.K, me and my friend are arguing about if you have to shave above your knee. She say yes, I say no. My mom said that her friends did, and now they hate it because they own to do it for the rest of their life's! I have very light fuzz, and her hair is even lighter than mine is. I wore short-shorts yesterday and she was like, "Do you shave above your knees?" and I was like, "No, your not supposed to." I know it looks nicer but I don't want stubby thighs. She said you are supposed to shave up their once a month. Should I? I don't want to but it may look nicer, and could I stop any time I wanted, right? Plus where on earth do you stop? Mid thigh, or all of it.

Thank You very much.

No rude comments please.

my mom said not to shave more than partially way up you thigh, but i hate the hair on my upper thigh, especially during swim suit season!

yeah, shave above your knee!
i shave my entire legs..my mom doesnt but she has extremely lighting hair she shaved wen she was young and she stopped...you can shave adjectives the way to the hip bone like i do but i wear different length of shorts all the time..if you a moment ago wear shorts the same length everytime you wear shorts then just shave to in that..hope that helped...
If you start shaving you will own to the rest of your life and you can't "just stop".
I'm 26 and I don't shave above my knees. My mum said she started shaving about her knees contained by her late 30s because the hair started to get coarse. But if it's weak and fluffy then shaving above the knee is a total waste of time and endeavour imo.
Hair does NOT grow in thicker after you shave it. It lately looks like it does. Google it if you dont believe me.
The best way to shave is to shave downward instead of upward as long as your hair is insubstantial. If it gets dark as you get elder, then you might want to shave upward to get a closer shave.
I'm an Italian woman, we are hairy ethnic group : )
I shave every day. I shave my knees and about 4 inches above (dont forget the backs of your knees). The curls above that on you legs is so thin, there's no point in shaving it.
If your hair isnt coarse, consequently you might not feel the need to shave more that two or three times a week.
I didn't when I was younger, but I do now, because as I got elder the hair naturally got thicker and dark.

I sometimes don't bother though if I know noone is going to see.

I hate shaving.
that is up to you I shaved past my knees once tho now I have to do it cuz once you shave your hair grows pay for more corse and thicker so you can see it more I shavw my legs acording to what I wear lol so it's all up to you Source(s): me my friends and family
It is really up to you. I don't shave above my knee in the winter because i am not wear shorts or anything so people can't see it.
it's really up to YOU. if you have really light hair and consistency it's not necessary than don't. i do simply because i have dark fuzz and when i wear a bathing suit you can see it.
i say yes, i shave my entire leg (well both of them lol) once or twice a week,
It's personal preference. I do every time I shave, it's no big deal. Just feel nicer for me.
