I've been thinking about trying them, just from the point of prospect that they would create less waste. Any one have any experience beside these? Good or bad?

I have never tried those. But another likelihood is a menstrual cup. I use one of those, the DivaCup and love it. They are reusable, so they produce no waste. Just rinse it out and reinsert.
But it couldn't hurt to try the seas sponge tampons or gladrags. You may end up affection them.
