Why aren't you supossed...?
Like the ones that aren't chewable
my friend said its bad but really why?
Answers: There are some medicines that are supposed to dissolve contained by the stomach. These pills you may chew on.
There are other medicines that are not stable in the bitter conditions of your stomach. These pills are made in a way that they survive the stomach intact and single dissolve in your intestines which is not acidic. These pills you may not chew on, because otherwise the inside of the pills, and thus the influential compound, will be destroyed in your stomach's acid.
In summary:
Non-chew pills = for dissolving contained by the intestines
Chew-pills = for dissolving in the stomach
Hi,
As much as i remember, chewing medicines (that are not supposed to) effects our teeth and give reactions. I couldn't find the exact reason any where on earth. But found this below link.

We should never chew Homeopathic & Ayurvedic medicines. You are supposed to swallow them unbroken.
most pills it wouldn't matter if you chewed them or not, except for the bad predilection. But some pils called "sublinguals" are ment to dissolve under the tounge. If you chewed or swallowed these pills you would not bring the full affect of the dosage.
