When do I start my Birth control? Please back me =/?

I went gyno today on got put on Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo. She said I can start tonight, i belive, if i hear her right. I started my period two saturdays ago and its basically done, basically lil blood still. Anyways...should I do the "Day 1" pill or wait until the "Sunday" pill? I'm lil confused, if I'm ending my time of year and I'm near sunday anyways, will it even matter if I hang around till sunday if she told me I can start tonight?

I dont want my Birthcontrol to lose any effect.

Can you share me your story? both women & men?

Yes, the instructions and doctors suggest that you start on your period, but it is all clearly fine. When you started will definitely not have an effect on the usefulness or how it works. Realistically you can start birth control whenever you would like. They just read aloud start while on or right after your period so you can have a complete month until the sugar pill week like a normal cycle, and they say aloud start on Sunday because that is the way the packet is labeled. Otherwise it doesn't mean anything. Your body doesn't know the difference between Wednesday and Sunday. The way the pills work does not fine-tuning, and your body will react with a time accordingly. No worries. Best wishes.
