I'm 14 and used a tampon for the first time two days ago. When I was inserting the tampon I used a mirror because it was easier to see what I be doing. I was about to insert a tampon previously and held the mirror and noticed my vagina opening looked different - approaching there was no skin nearby kind of thing and it be just an opening presently if that makes sense. I was jsut wondering if my hymen have broken? (Don't say even if your hymen has broken you'r still a virgin until you enjoy sex etc as I already know all of that) Im just wondering if it sounds as if my hymen have broken? And this may sound kind of disgusting but what does a hymen look similar to and does anyone know a website where I can see a diagram with the hymen included so I can compare?

Your hymen can be broken by other things than just sex, such as horse riding, doing the splits/gymnastics and so on.

So it is a possibility than your hymen have broken, however it will also be broken by using a tampon.
