Using NuvaRing to skip period - do you still have need of to linger a week?

Instead of the 3 weeks in, 1 week out regimen, I'm leaving it within for 4 weeks, then putting in a spanking new one right away. Do I still need to wait a week previously it's safe to have unprotected sex? Or no, because I never took it out, the hormones never disappeared my system, so I don't have to wait?

Answers:    Even beside the 3-in/1-out regimen, as long as you're using the ring correctly, the requirement to use a backup method for the first week after insertion applies ONLY during the very first month. After the first month, you should be able to enjoy unprotected sex at any point in your cycle. (See the detailed instructions that come packaged next to the ring for more information about this.).
The strength of the medication wears bad with time, so after the three weeks, the "dosage" you are getting on the fourth week, is a lot smaller quantity.
If you are trying to skip your period, and still beprotected, the best thing would be to start a alien ring after the third week... that's what girls do when on the pill: skip the placebo, and start the new pack immediately.
I'm not sure whether you are protected or not right in a minute, but if you don't want to call your doc to ask, you should take extra precautions (condoms) for the subsequent week or so... I wouldn't risk it, if I were you.
There are 4 weeks of medicine surrounded by each ring. So after you go four weeks remove it on your removal daytime at the right time and insert a new one at the same time. You can still enjoy sex if you 4 weeks to the next ring. My doctor told me I could do this and actually recommended I did. But you still want to have a week off on instance to make sure you aren't pregnant and that what lining did form is discharged. That is particularly a question for your doctor. You can use normal pill pack to skip your period (I've done it fine) but in those cases the hormones are not so localized similar to with the ring. It's entirely possible that the ring does not have ample hormones to last 4 weeks..
if you are trying to skip your period, put contained by the new ring after your 3rd one. they are only designed to work for 7 days respectively. so if you leave one in for 14 days, you are running an increased risk of pregnancy. it will be locked to have sex as long as you don't leave it surrounded by longer than 7 days. best of luck and hope this helped you
