Thick mucous discharge??
Answers: Once you start puberty a white and/or clear, non-foul smelling discharge (mucous) is middle-of-the-road. The vagina is self-cleaning. This same discharge increases the closer you get to ovulation and when you are sexually aroused. Trust me, you don't ever want it to go away.
The discharge is effect by how much exercise you get, how much water you drink, meds, complaint and diet.
Different Types of Discharge:
White: Thick, white discharge is common at the beginning and termination of your cycle. Normal white discharge is not accompanied by itching. If itching is present, thick white discharge can indicate a yeast infection.
Clear and stretchy: This is "fertile" mucous and channel you are ovulating.
Clear and watery: This occurs at different times of your cycle and can be outstandingly heavy after exercising.
Yellow or Green: May indicate an infection, especially if thick or clumpy approaching cottage cheese or has a foul odor.
Brown: May happen right after period, and is just "cleaning out" your vagina. Old blood looks brown.

It's very typical, as long as there is no foul odor. When women ovulate, the cervix releases clear mucus. The mucus can be thick or trim, and vary from day to morning. Sometimes it can be as thick as egg whites, and a lot of it. This mucus is discharged between period and indicates that you are fertile because you are ovulating, so avoid intercourse or be sure to use protection. Normal.
