I'm reposting since I didn't really get much action ultimate time. Thanks! A pelvic MRI Report documents "bilateral atrophic ovaries". My guess is, as a woman approaches the later stages of her birthing years, the ovaries naturally become atrophic. Has anyone experienced this or know someone who have had this reported to them? We've not begun to start a kith and kin (although we would like to within the subsequent 2 yrs) I'd like to hear from everyone, but specifically somebody close to the age posted above. We are making an appointment with OB/GYN but I am worried for her well-being.

What cause an enlarged uterus?

The report mode the ovaries were smaller than they expected to find them. I can't tell you much more than that- because size isn't everything. It's the function that's celebrated, and an MRI can't tell you that. If she is having regular period, then she likely is ovulating. If she is developing precocious menopause, in that are hormonal treatments that may be able to help. I can't let somebody know you much about your fertility chances, as that's within the area I'm not an expert at. It will all depend on her hormone production, and how in good health the ovaries are functioning. That will take more tests to determine. If they are not functioning correctly, a fertility doctor may be capable of help matters beside hormone supplements that will stimulate ovulation and allow you to try in vitro. In all of it, your wife's mental capably being depends partially on your relationship near one another. If you are open to conception in other ways than the weak usual- then the function of the ovaries isn't that critical. It won't have an impact on her physical powerfully being more than likely- but the effect on her emotionally is another subject. She mostly will need reassurance of your love, that's the best medication of all.
