Period on birth control?

I asked a question earlier asking if birth control would regulate my interval right away.
some said it would
some said it might take 2-3 months
I am taking birth control for the first time. Right now I never capture my period on a regular 28 day cycle..So if birth control doesn't regulate it right away does that tight-fisted I would get my period close to in the middle of the active pills from the subsequent pack??
like I got my term on saturday, I was instructed to take my first birth control pill the sunday after I get my period, so I took it on sunday. If i got my extent on a 28 day cylce I would get it until the second to closing sugar pill..but if I dont get it on a 28 day cycle later I wouldnt get it on the sugar pills at all..so should I not start taking the second pack until I win my period? this would mean I would be going a few days beside out birth control at all..so what should I do?
should I just start the second pack and be taking the live pills even if I dont get my period?
sorry this is so confusing.
can anyone comfort?

Answers:    If you use your pulls every day regularly at the same time (approximately) - you will enjoy regular periods.
If you start on Sunday - next time you also should start from first Sunday after extent.
If you forgot and missed your pill - follow the instructions in http://www.menstrual-cycle.info/14-Pills...

You should get your length in the week you take the sugar pills.

DO NOT dawdle to start the second pack. That could cause your body to ovulate. Just start taking them right when the first pack is done.
