My nipples have been sore/tender since Saturday dark...kind of like somebody rubbed sandpaper over them. My extent started (sort of) yesterday so I realize it could be that, but in the 11 years I've been have periods this has NEVER happen. The outer edges of my breasts feel weird too, and I notice the skin was dry and flaky last darkness. I put lotion on my entire body every morning so this is especially weird! I also have mild stinging/shooting pains throughout my breasts.

I am on birth control and my breasts hold been sore for about 2 1/2 months but I'm still have periods and haven't had a positive question paper, so I don't think I'm pregnant. But my period this time is also weird--it's really merely heavy spotting, with some red blood and long stringy clots sometimes when I wipe (sorry if that's TMI!). I'm worried because I'm have a sigmoidoscopy on Thursday and I need to be done bleeding by then.

Any philosophy on what this could be? Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Hey, I do ultrasound of the breast and with your symptoms, I think you should see your doctor. Do a fitting self breast exam and make sure that you don't feel anything surrounded by your breast. Depending on your age, you may need either a mammogram or ultrasound or possibly both. Good luck next to everything.
