My menstrual cycle ending for more than a week, should i be worried?

Really personal question: I'm 17 and I use to think I have a normal cycle that lasted for in the region of 5 days but now my cycle can last up to almost 2 weeks. Its not really creamy bleeding and is more like spotting but sometimes my cycle will last for 5 days, stop for 2, and next i'll start spotting or my period will start all over again. Any hypothesis what this could be? should i got see my doctor?

Answers:    no i know people whos second for 2 wks its just the way ur body is, if you really discern there is a problem then ask ur dr. mine sometimes does the 3days on 2 days sour then spotting thing to its commonplace everyones body is different so if u feel it may be a problem again i would just see ur dr and ask them only just to ease ur mind about it. appropriate luck don't worry u'll be fine.
Yeah, I'd go ahead and homily to your doctor about it. Sometimes some women just do own really long cycles. But it could also be a hormonal problem that your doctor could treat. talk to your doctor, but dont' be too woried.
