My daughter Is Worried About her Period
Is it Really a period?
Answers: When a girl first starts her time (menarche) it will usually be irregular at first. This is nothing to worry more or less and it will settle down in time.
It's irregular at first. Whether it's "really a period" or not isn't really important, the major thing is, things are lining up down in that, and sooner than later, she'll start menstruating regularly. Just make sure you tutor her on the options she has as far as tampons, pad, liners, etc. it probably is just spotting...which method that she has technically had her first sign of a cycle...loaf a few weeks (4-6) and see if she gets it again. if so then its her interval then if not its lately spotting and she might get her period soon
or the other chance is she "popped her cherry" (tore her hymen)
maybe ask her doctor if you are worried...
goodluck! xoxoxo.

only talk to her something like it if she asks you!
