The Mirena coil probably have nothing to do with your consignment gain. We gain weight when we eat more or do not guzzle a health diet and exercise enough. If this is your just gripe with the Mirena I would stick with it for the remaining year as it is an excellent contraceptive. If and when you do go and get it removed why not consider the implant.
If you want it removed simply go to your GP, it can be removed contained by less than a minute! I have to comment though that it is unlikely tha the few micrograms of progesterone it releases each day would be solely responsible for that much weight gain.

I have have this fitted for over a year now, but not for contraception, to help near menapause. I have gained some solidity, but I think this is due to my age. However, the benefits far out weighed the little solidity gain.I didn't. I actually lost weight which be a bonus. My side effect was almost continual bleeding. I had it removed after a year.
