Laparoscopy Recovery

I had laparoscopy surgery on Tuesday.

I have 3 cuts & they removed some deformity tissue near my bowels & in my tubes.

I am severely sore & they have put some fluid in nearby so it cushions the healing.

How long should it take to treat & I am also finding it hard to go to the loo (no 2!!)

Pleas serve & I can't sleep.

As u can tell v unhappy at the moment.

Answers:    hi you poor item :(

i have had three of these and you rouse up feelling like your belly button is tied to your knees. i was other fine about one week later.
the toilet problem... sometimes after surgery you are prone to constipation so drink plenty and chomp through what you can but if you are still concerned contact your gp

good luck with your recouping xoxox.
I have mine booked in as suspected endometrosis and am a touch worried. How did it go?

It should take something like 2 weeks before you feel typical again!

Just a relax, take it easy and drink lots of herbal tea! You should try not drinking much for the next couple of days as your body is in shock. If you get through too much your body will have to work harder to digest the food then it desires to be healing you which could be why you cant go to the loo!

The stitches should be disolve soon also so you will be aware of less sore. I think you will still get hold of the pain in your shoulder for in the order of a week and it will hurt when you move, hence why you can't sleep. Try and have a nice warm hip bath in the evening, dose up on painkillers and relax.

Good Luck x

Take care..
I'm assuming that you have laproscopic surgery which is making 3 small incisions for the instruments to pass through. That should not bring a lot of dull pain for it is a less invasive surgery. However, everyone's tolerance is different.

Internal full healing take 6 months. For the loo problem, try taking Senokot-S. Start with 2 tabs within the morning, two at night. Once you have a bowel movement, clutch 1 in the am, 1 in the pm until you take regulated. Your loo problem comes from a combination of anesthesia and pain meds. Also drink plenty of fluids to keep hydrated.

Can't bequeath you much on the sleeplessness, other than an occasional Tylenol-PM to get you put a bet on into your normal sleep patterns.

I have a laproscopic surgery last year. I was fear much better after a week. I think I could get up and titter without pain after 2 weeks. The motivation you're having a hard time going "no. 2" is because misery medication slow down your bowels. As long as you're on pain meds, you'll probably have problems next to constipation. I'd recommend miralax or milk of magnesia in a couple days to get things moving again.

It'll quality better soon!

I remember when I had mine it was exceptionally uncomfortable at first and I think this be purely due to trapped wind. They pump your stomach with nouns to get a better look and for some people this can filch a while to go. It's not a matter of farting any, it releases slowly over the next couple of weeks. This could also be why it feels discomfited to go to the loo ...... everyone is different so don't expect it go like lightning, it took a good couple of weeks for me to feel final on track and my stomach was rock hard for adjectives that time !! Good luck. xx
