I am 40 years old and worry that if I own any more children that my vagina will be worse off - causing me problems adequate to lead to surgery. When looking in great detail at it - it appears that it's brains are pertruding ! Is this run of the mill ? Should I not have any more children due to the pressure of childbirth and the weight of the kid - meaning it could get worse. I know I could turn to the GP, but am unsure how to start the conversation of without sounding daft and feeling embarrased.

But its not youre Vagina that decide if you are beyond child baring age, wether it looks like a frayed welly or not, its what its connected to ie your Uterus and ovaries that establish if you are beyond child baring age

It sounds very much approaching you may have prolapse issues going on and a quick nouns by your doctor / gynaecologist would confirm it. It is nothing to be embarassed about and it is incredibly adjectives amongst women who have given birth vaginally. I assume it doesn't bother you, only that you can see it. I enjoy prolapses myself and they really bother me and I have seen my GP, a gynaecologist and a urogynocolgist roughly it. I am about to start physio therapy to try and sustain things but I would ultimately like these things fixed. I think the key symptoms of prolapses are a "falling out" feeling or pressure.

A prolapse would not prevent you from having further children but here is no guarantee that the prolapses will not worsen with further deliveries. I choice you the best of luck and hope you find out what is going on.

It is not what your vagina looks like that has anything to do beside giving birth. As long as it is healthy and no medical problems there should be no problem. But don't forget, that after the age of 40, the risk of Downs syndrome and study difficulties increase.
