I believe the best thing you can do is convince your mom to go beside you and talk to a gynecologist.. she will be able to answer adjectives questions and also alay your mom's fears.. That sounds like a logical request which if you put it to your mom politely I am sure she will not refuse you...then you both will be more informed on the pro's and con's of taking birth control pill and human being informed will enable you to make the right declaration... if you are sexually active it most certainly is the best means of access to prevent an unwanted pregancy...which could be a lot more devastating at your age than anything the pill could do to you. I am sure the pill is quite risk-free to take unless you suffer from epilepsy or some conditions where it may be wiser to use some other methods of birth control...
Suggest this to your mom and I am sure she will travel with you..
Good luck xx

I'm 15, and I be on ***** control for about 7 months because of my period also, I would gain mine every 15 days, and they were very pouring so the doctor recomended it. I had no problems, it lightened up my time a lot, kept it going every 28 days, and I didnt get cramps anymore, which be like heaven, it does product some people gain weight, but not much, and it particularly makes your boobs grow, i know some poeople who have taken it for that (not smart). But i have no problems with it, however when I went sour of it about 3 months ago, my periods become heavier again. And since you havn't have your period consistantly, I woudl talk to your local obgyn (the doctor who give it out) and she will tell you what she recomends you do. It may just be because you are remarkably active or something.
