I tried skipping my term next to the pill... immediately my period's started a week impulsive. Is my pill powerful still?
Now I've get a week left in this exotic birth control package before my time of year should start, and it started last night, a week hasty. I've taken the pill a few hours late in olden times few nights, so I suppose that could have triggered the precipitate start.
I'm just wondering if my pill is still completely effective despite have taken it a couple of hours later, and despite having messed next to my own cycle?
Cheers everyone.
Answers: Just keep taking your pills as scheduled. Bleeding does not indicate that the pill is not still working at stopping pregnancy. Each hormone does certain things...one stop ovulation and the other make the uterus disappointing for embedding of an egg. Taking your pill a couple hours late is not a big buy and sell...as long as you have not skipped a pill. What has thrown you rotten is that you tried to skip your period and went right into the subsequent pack. Just keep taking your pills and if you need to set an alarm for matching time each day, do so..so you give somebody a lift your pills on time..
i dont think that the pills will work correctly right in a minute - see a dr again to get good counsel I'm on Ortho-Tri-Cyclen and tried the same thing on my honeymoon, (and the nurse at my doctor's organization said it would work), but it didn't, only held it back a few days. I don't have a sneaking suspicion that it's wise to try this again, it really messes your cycle up and won't work.
Your pills are still effective as long as you give somebody a lift your pill when you do remember it that day--everyday. It will take another month of taking your pills correctly to get you spinal column on track. Rarely I'm late taking my pill, but if I do, it will cause spotting or if your interval is near--it will come earlier depending on how late I am..
That's because the hormones within your BC pills confused your cycle. Start a new pack the first Sunday after your period is over so it can bring back back on schedule.
Don't verbs about it... it happens. :)
