I was away on vacation for over a month, and skipped two period using my birth control pills, which I've done many times before. I be three days into a new pack when I got home, but stopped so I could hold a period. A few days later I get cramps and some pink discharge, and I had a little bit of blood when it started, but it's in recent times been old, brown blood since next, barely heavy adequate to use a panty liner. My boyfriend and I had some unprotected sex while we were away, near him always pulling out. I started a new type of birth control at the beginning of the year, and it's given me light period, but never this light. I've also had a continuous UTI that comes and go and some constipation, but I've chalked that up to travel and foreign food.

So how light can it be to still be considered a period, or could I be pregnant?

Why play with your system this way? It seem that there are only a few possible reason for your problems; 1) your pregnant, 2) your system is so confused it doesn't know what to do next, 3) other serious medical condition.

None of this should be answer on-line. Be a big girl and call your MD..

You're PROBABLY not pregnant. The strange light period is possible due to the fact that you stopped taking the pill only a few days into a unsullied pack, combined with skipping 2 periods already. Even when you're using the pill to skip period it's best to break for a period at the end of a pack, especially if you're using triphasic pills. Unfortunately, birth control is not an exact science and everyone react very very differently. I would embezzle a pregnancy test just to be sure and if it comes wager on negative, I would start a new pack of pills after self off them for 7 days and then verbs like normal and not verbs about it.
