Answers:    definitely sounds close to a yeast infection. its good that youre going to the doctor. he will probably give you diflucan, which is a one dose pill you will help yourself to. Your itching and burning will start to go away within a hours of daylight or so of taking the antibiotic. the monistat itch cream works pretty good until you get to the doctors subsequent week. just try to not wear cotton underwear (it makes more yeast grow) and wear lose fitting pant like sweat pants and such. also wipe with a non scented soap and take home sure you dry your vagina off completely before putting underwear on after the shower! well brought-up luck and hope you feel better!.
If your discharge smells like yeast (bread or beer) after you have a yeast infection. You will need to progress to the drug store and buy treatment such as Monistat.

If your discharge smells rotten and fishy, then you may have a bacterial infection. Contact your doctor..

http://www.menstrual-cycle.info/36-Safer... you probably have a yeast infection...itch nouns cream isn't going to cure that, you need to go to the drug store and win some Monistat or other vaginal yeast treatment and use it for a full week..
It could be a yeast infection... but if you are sexually active it could also be an std. Good thing you enjoy an appointment. Its best to consult a doctor to know for sure and get proper treatment. Probably thrush. Go to the pharmacy and get some Canesten cream to use, plus the oral tablet available over the counter. .
Best suggestion is to go to the doctor and see if its a serious problem. Also check out this website. It's geared toward women's health. conceivably trush
