I am on the birth control Mirena and my doc also put me on the Zaz?????
Answers: There is progesterone in the Mirena, and this hormone can cause moodiness, or even depression.
However, next to the Mirena, only a very small amount get into the bloodstream. It's effect is mostly local, on the uterus. It is unusual for it to have a systemic effect, but not impossible.
The Yaz may help -- some estrogen to be a foil for the progesterone, is your doctor's thinking -- but Yaz also has progesterone, so you are getting even more of it. Your symptoms could actually get hold of worse.
My first thought is that maybe your moodiness is unrelated to the Mirena? There are so many things that can bring us to feel that way. But you are the best referee of that.
Virtually all side effects from the Mirena are worst in the first 6 months. If you can stick it out rather longer, your moodiness may go away. It's a great method for many individuals..
i was Yasmin basically the doctor have perscribed u a different pill because of your moods basicly yazmin has more postriem in thats adjectives , yaz was fine with me and does pilfer time with different people
