I am going to use a tampon for the first time...?
Should I use Tampax, Libra or Kotex?
Also, which absorbency should I have? How habitually should I change it? Should I wear it at night?
Thanks!
P.S. Any other infos around periods would be helpful.
P.P.S I am 13 and this is my second interval.
Answers: I agree with Jenniex. I use the Tampax with the applicator. I used them on my first length, and was surprised at how easy they be to use and also how uncomfortable they were.
I tend to turn for normal, but if you're not sure, either use ordinary and change it often after a few hours, or use super (which again you enjoy to change after a few hours).
U.S absorbancies.:
Junior absorbency: 6 grams and under
Regular absorbency: 6 to 9 grams
Super absorbency: 9 to 12 grams
Higher absorbencies enjoy been banned due to the knit to T.S.S
In the UK absorbencies range as follows:
Lite (light flow) 6g and under
Regular (light to environment flow) 6-9g
Super (medium to heavy flow) 9-12g
Super plus (heavy flow) 12-15g
Super plus extra (very heavy flow) 15-18g
You entail to change your tampons regularly due to the risk of Toxic Shock Syndrome (you can find more about this on internet or other sources)
I recommend shifting the tampon every 4-8 hours depending on your flow. If you have a heavy flow, perchance use a light pad beside that. Wear black underwear whilst you're on, but that's just common sense. I wouldn't insist on wearing tampons at night. Use always darkness pads or something similar.
Good luck :).
my favorite tampons are Tampax ones with an applicator, as that help you to insert them right up.. i find tampons without an applicator very difficult to use...
You can buy a pack near a variety of sizes.. i would go for them so you can try out whats best for your flow :)
the box say you can leave them in for 4-8 hours wich is great if your planning a year out or something!
hope this helps x.
lol.
i use tampax pearl.
and it depends how heavy your flow is,
try reuglar if it leak after say after about 2-3 hours, next super, and so on...
you should change it every 4-8 hours.
and i'd rather not use them at dark if its your fist time, i don't and i've been using them for like a year, i'm upset to.
but yeah hope i helped :).
if you want to be a virgin, its better you don't use any tampon.
if you are sure for using them, you must change them respectively 2 or 3 hours a day and don't using them when you sleep.
pads are awfully safety than tampons. .
Tampons should be changed atleast every 2~3 hours, no longer! Or else it will be less effecient surrounded by absorbing, and will probably leak. :p
Don't wear tampons when sleeping, use pads instead.
Not sure something like the brands and absorbency though... I prefer Libra..
kotex is my favorite they work really good and there the cheapest!!
