Ok I am 27 and just started taking Yasmin birth control Sunday. I feel it's requisite to quit smoking now, rather than continue until I am 35 and the risks increase. There are still risks now that I am uncomfortable near! I have been smoking for 9 years. I quit once near the patch for a year, but started again due to stress and moving in with a smoker. If I use the PATCH again will that be ok next to the BIRTH CONTROL?
Please tell me what ways you know or have hear of that make it easier to quit?

Answers:    I think you adding together any kind of nicotine, whether it be with the patch, the gum or regular smoke, will increase the risks.
There's current medications out to stop smoking. I think wellbutrin is used for it (and its generic too), and the fresh Chantix (which is super expensive, but has great results)
You can stop by your local pharmacy and ask the pharmacist if there's any problems mixing those with B/C, but I believe it's seriously less problems with these meds...

I individually wouldn't mix bc pills and the nicotine patch together, u don't know what side effects that can have on ur body, I think u should sermon to ur doctor before u do that! im 12 and no i dont smoke but my freiend mom quit smoking my hipnosis apperentyl it works the best good luck:)
