How do you know when your length is over, approaching when you will stop getting blood?
Answers: it will probably be over between 3-7 days :-) towards the end of your spell it will get lighter and gradually you'll of late have normal discharge again. As this is your first spell I guess its a bit of a guess, if it's the 4th or 5th day and you didn't bleed in the dark just wear a thin panty liner to conservatory, just in overnight case ;)
Congrats on your first period, ask your mum some questions, she's a women she have her first period once and probably still has one immediately!

Periods can last from 5-7 days. It depends on the person.
You'll know when it stops when you stop seeing blood or any open-handed of brownish discharge when you wipe.
I always wear a pad a year longer than I should just in covering. As the week goes on depending on how much you are bleeding you can move on to a lighter wipe so it won't be as bulky.
Just plan on carrying pads with you contained by your purse or backpack the week of your period. Plus keep one or two contained by there ALL the time just so you won't be caught past its sell-by date guard.
