I had a caesarean 5 weeks ago & my bowels still haven't returned to normal. I suffer beside bad wind type agony & am taking degas tablets. My bowels go from diarrhea to constipation. I understand that forthwith after a caesar, women can suffer with the above but has anyone suffered as long or longer & what did you do for it? I'm worried my bowels will never be the same again & I'll keep getting meander pain forever. Thanks.

l know what you are going through. l had a caesarean two years ago and l will be have another one with the baby lm carrying in a minute! l didnt suffer as bad as you or as long as you. The best advice l can offer is go to your gp straight away because you dont want to be in so much misery and you need to rest to heal, not mention be mum to bub! You are almost due for your 6 week check up so be sure to mention it to your doctor and lm sure they will check you out and formulate sure everything is ok! it sounds like you cant wait until next so go back to your doctor! It will help yourself to awhile for your bowels to go back to ordinary so dont despair too much! Dont forget you have just have a major surgery! You are brave and you will heal fine!
