Doctor appointment.what to expect?!?
Answers: The doctor shoud first take a history...ask roughly speaking your general health, and your family's condition...especially any breast or cervical cancers in the familial. They will also ask about your sexual activities...and you should be highly frank and not embarassed...believe me...they have heard it adjectives before!! They will also check your blood pressure & weight.
Pap smear shouldn't hurt.as long as you can relax. Doctor or nurse will be drastically professional, and very gentle. You will obligation to remove knickers and will be covered with a sheet. You will be asked to draw your knees up and then drop them sideways so they are within a frog-like position. The examiner will shine a light on the area and later insert a sterile instrument ( hopefully warmed) to hold the sides of your vagina open...you may feel some pressure, but not discomfort. They will then just scrabble a few cells off the cervix next to a wooden spatula and put them onto a glass slide ...You should hardly be aware of this at all . They may feel inside your vagina near lubricated gloved fingers and press on your tummy...just to feel for any abnormality of the uterus ( lumps or fibroids) ovaries and tubes. They will also probably examine your breasts by feeling for lumps.

It doesn't hurt as much as it's uncomfortable. It does hurt if you are overexcited so it's best to try and relax as much as possible. Let your doctor know that you are a little worried about the unharmed thing and she will talk you through the adjectives thing which really helps. The speculum is the subdivision that most women hate the most. It's the duck bill shaped instrument that hold your vagina open so the specimen can be collected. Once that's surrounded by place, the doctor will get the swabs for the pap smear. The actual pap collection you can feel but it doesn't hurt. It's more of a pressure item. After that, the doctor will take out the speculum and do an internal exam. That means he/she will insert two fingers inside of your vagina to have a feeling for abnormal things in your uterus. They will next press where your ovaries are to see if they are normal. All within all the whole exam take under 10 minutes (breast exam, pap smear, internal exam)
Along with the exam your doctor will cooperate to you a little about out of danger sex and that birth control isn't the only precaution you should take beside new partners, etc..
The doctor may do a breat exam on you to engineer sure that he/she doesn't feel any lumps in your breast.
He/she may ask you why you want to start on the BC pill?
A pap smear does not hurt. It'll simply feel a little discomfited (emotionally and physically) while the doctor inserts a q-tip type instrument in your vagina.

Well, be ready to answer some question about your sexual life if you own one and all the family history. She will do a breast exam and check for lumps and after the pap. It doesn't really hurt and isn't really too uncomfortable but just a bit awkard. It individual takes like 15 seconds-then it's done. Make sure you travel every year! Its a bit uncomfortable but really quick. Just try to judge about something else. They will usually do a pap and a pregnancy test formerly prescribing you the birth control. The first time is the scariest. After that it is just an annoyance. You will be fine.
