My mother is always fussy and complains more now than ever. She usually is nice. Her menopause have been over years ago. Is there another phase women progress through due to hormone changes?
When she has a complaint, I listen to her but lately she have not been happy more or less anything and I'm a little worried.

Answers:    Ask her if anything is bothering her. Could it be that the only time you listen to her is when he have a complaint. Maybe you could do some fun outings together , Movies, shopping, or try a new sport that you would both like to swot. I learned how to play tennis after age 56 I'm not good but I enjoy a blast and have met other people my age that are in recent times learning.

The menopause goes on for plentiful years as hormones diminish one step at a time. It's a difficult time for a woman - we have a lot to agreement with! - not just hormone problems but the disappointment of everything drying up, dropping past its sell-by date and heading south! Be patient. I guess it's possible. Even after menopause, hormones are still declining, so that could hold an effect on her mood. It could also be something else, something you don't know anything about, that has nil to do with hormones. Only your mother knows..
