Hi i am on it right now but getting of it this coming month i try it only one time did not work for me made me gain 15 lbs contained by less than a month and a half doomed to failure i mean really bad mood swings no length do thats sort of good but still spotting a lot i own read a lot of responses to this question and most are gloomy although you have a few good experiences it work for some folks but seems like for the majority it does not work endow with it a try if you want to but i am not recomending it google it and read or go to md.com and research it you are to young for these to be precise just my opinion conceivably try the pill instead but its you personal choice search for it here on yahoo questions and read other peoples experience for me it have not been that bad my problem is individual the weight so far and my moodiness besides that not so many problems but i a bit try something else to see if it worlks better if you don't have a stable parner i mean close to living with someone permantely and its only occasional sex turn with the condom better no hormons equal no side effects and protect you from diseases

EDIT: What type of pill were you allergic to? There are all kind of birth control pills on the market. Maybe the dosage was in recent times too high for you. The hormone levels are different contained by each pill. If you have a problem next to estrogen, there are progesterone-only (or mini) pills. This would be a better option for you. If you are allergic to progesterone, you shouldn't obtain the shot. That is what the shot contains.

I have a problem getting rashes from some condoms, too. It turns out that I hold a latex allergy. There are condoms on the market that are latex-free. Give those a try.

I be on this shot and I'd never recommend it to ANYONE, especially a fifteen year old! I'm appalled its still on the market.

There are oodles many MANY different brands of pills. Have you tried Kariva? I personally am on it and enjoy had no side affects from it (though every woman is different).

There are only DISadvantages to taking depo, NO advantages at adjectives.
