I have been taking Cerazette for nearly 8 months now. Lately I have be having irregular periods and concrete mood swings - so unlike me :( My last periods enjoy been - 21st May (normal approx 5 days), 15th July (normal), 29th July (light 2-3 days long). I haven't missed a pill in the unbroken 8 months of taking it but this week I've gone a bit crazy - On the 7th August I stupidly forgot due to being busy and not in my everyday routine. 2 days later had some impressively light brown spotting. Yesterday (11th) missed another pill. (Spotting has very soon stopped). Is there any chance I could be pregnant or would at hand still be enough in my system? i'm in recent times a bit concerned now :( Also do you know of any good alternatives to Cerazette as not appetite irregular bleeding/ side effects? Thanks for any advice and sorry if I'm rambling too much :) x

Answers:    I've be on this pill for over 2 years so i know a bit about it.

If you miss a pill and take it subsequent than 12 hours from when you should of then you need to use extra protection for the subsequent few days. If you had sex and didn't use a condom around three days when you missed the pill you could be pregnant. I would advise going to the doctors or doing as tryout as soon as. Taking the pill while pregnant can harm your baby and can inflict ectopic pregnancy which can be life threatening. I would go merely to be on the safe side.

I experience terrible mood swings on the pill so i feel you just need to try different brands until you find one that suits you.

When i first started taking the pill i have irregular bleeding but it has now settled down. I don't hold a period at all presently which is great as i normally get really impossible cramps.

I would go to the docs, check you aren't pregnant and just ask to try different brands until you find one that suits you.
