Cervical cryotherapy
Answers: OMG, I had this done twice when I was 13...I am sorry, I am not going to sugar coat anything, it be very uncomfortable and the cramping afterwards be awful. I would be lying if I said different. It is completely necessary though if you have uncharacteristic cells. I had cancerous cell, put it this way, I am 33 and cannot have children. it would not enjoy mattered either mode, but having it done and the procedures I had done over the subsequent few years saved my life. Good luck to you, I am sorry you hold to go through this! ;(.
I'm not trying to scare you but I have this done about 3 years ago and it was horrible. The procedure itself be bearable though it did sting however because they also shoot you up the ******** with a gas in fixture to the Co2 (the oncologist said it was to prevent other parts from freezing) It caused such horrible cramping and bloating. I didn't enjoy anyone with me besides my dad and so I had to of late deal on my own in the room. I couldn't go and get up for 45 minutes afterward and they wanted me up within 10 or 15 minutes for the subsequent patient I presume. I couldn't even get dressed. Talk something like feeling violated and exposed! Anyway I finally forced myself up and out the door doubled over and slept the rest of the day and dark. After that it was ok. I had it done just about 13 years ago.
You're positioned the same for a pap, but they will insert a wand that is attached to a frozen CO2 cistern. The wand will be applied to your cervical face for several seconds (I meditate my whole treatment was smaller quantity than 90 seconds total). You may experience some cramping and maybe some mild to moderate headache, but it's not all that bad.
Afterward, you should avoid sex and tampons for 2 weeks, and you'll probably own a thin pinkish to brownish discharge for several days along with more cramping.
I strongly recommend that you engender a list of all of your question and ask your surgeon prior to the procedure what to expect and what to do. He or she will be the #1 source for information as every doctor has different procedural protocols..
I'm not gonna lie, it's rather uncomfortable, but no more so than period cramps. Take some ibuprofen earlier your appointment, that helped me.
