The rule is "Take the first active pill of the first pack on Sunday after your period starts, even if you are still bleeding. If your term starts on Sunday, start the pack that same day. Use another method of birth control (such as condoms or spermicides) if you have sex during 7 days after you start your first packet." I merely want to clarify If my period starts on a Sunday, I get the pill Wednesday. Starting it on the following Sunday is ok, right? I asked my doctor and said yes, but she seem to be half way fascinated. TIA.

You are right. It goes a week off the pill/period week (or formerly starting the pill as you are) and then start the pill the next sunday.
