This exercise helps to tone up that bit but cardiac exercise is maybe also needed.. I tried doing this without the cardiac work, and it worked a bit, until i completely gave it up because it be really tiring :].
Running, try jogging, or try hitting the gym! sit up, crunches, and criss crosses. trust me, i used to be a cheerleader..
Sit-ups/crunches got rid of lots of curvy for me :] stomach crunches..
try to run or walk a lot... and chomp through more salads..*
